About the Scheme

The eCar scheme is open to all tenants, sharing owners, owner occupiers and shareholders of Clydebank Housing Association.

You must be 25 or over and have been driving for more than one year.

The cars travel at up to 35 miles per hour and the four-seater can accommodate a driver and up to 3 passengers.  The two-seaters can accommodate a driver and passenger.

One battery charge can allow a 40 mile round trip. Charging stations are currently available at Braehead, St Enoch Centre and Silverburn.

The introductory cost of £5 per day is available until further notice.  The cost includes insurance, however, where damage subject to an insurance claim has occurred as a result of resident negligence, then the insurance excess may be payable by the resident (currently £250).

Times available for hire are 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
