We were
recognised by Investors in People Scotland for the fourth time in June this
year, when we received our renewed accreditation.
Following our re-assessment inspection, H H Rissmann, Chairman of Investors
in People congratulated the association, saying,
“Your continued success is a testament to your committed management and
involved employees and the effort that you have together invested in
pursuit of improvement”.
Clydebank Housing Association was first accredited by Investors in People
in October 1996 and has now maintained commitment to the standard longer
than any other Housing Association.
The
Association was recognised with a 10-year achievement award at a
ceremony in Stirling Castle in November 2006.
The
10-Year Achievement Award
On 9 November, we were presented with the award in recognition of our
commitment to using the
Investors in People (IIP) standard.
Fiona Webster, Director, said of the award, “The
Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool that helps
organisations, like ourselves, improve staff motivation, reduce staff
turnover and benefit from effective communications, to name but a few
benefits”.
We were one of 16 organisations in the Glasgow area to be presented with
the award by IIP Scotland
Chief Executive, Peter Russian, at a celebration dinner and ceilidh in
Stirling Castle. John Mooney, one of our Voluntary Management Committee
Member, who collected the award said, “It was a well deserved award.
The Association puts a lot of emphasis on staff training and development,
both personal and professional”.
