The Association aims to provide good quality, affordable housing, which meets the changing needs of our customers and to widen and facilitate access to housing within our area.
With assistance from Clydebank Re-built, the Scottish Government and Scottish Water, we have completed 40 new flats for affordable rent at Cart Street, on the riverside. This iconic building was designed by Glasgow architects Elder and Cannon, is conveniently located for all local amenities. A number of measures were included to enhance the environmental and sustainable credentials of the development and the completed flats achieved a “very good” BREEAM, EcoHomes rating.
Current limitations on grant funding are inhibiting our plans for future developments. However, we hope to play a significant part in the regeneration of the former shipyard site on Clydebank riverside.
We have also undertaken a 'wider role' in our community. Our wider role is where we aim to improve the social, economic and environmental circumstances of the community in which we operate.
